About Me

Hello, I am so glad you're here! Welcome to Amy Lewis Photography.

Let me tell you a little bit about me and my family.

I am a Southern transplant currently living in North Carolina. I was born in a very small town in New York (not to be confused with NYC). My parents moved my siblings and I to NC in 1997 when I was 12.

A part of me will always love where i was born, but i now proudly say I am from NC.

In November 2005 I met the one.... my forever partner in life! We had only dated for about 8 months before he asked me to be his wife. We were at a beach on the NC coast for his birthday, when he drove me to the beach at sunset, and proposed to me right there in the sand! I was completely shocked. We really hadn't talked about our future in a marriage way. But i knew early on he was the one for me! So 8 months of engagement, we got married on May 5 2007. We were so young; I was 22 and he was 24.

We wanted to wait at least a year after getting married to start expanding our family. Unfortunately, God had other plans for us. We experienced almost 4 years of infertility treatments. I took fertility pills, he got examined, we tried multiple ways to get pregnant but just didn't have any luck. Just as we were financially and mentally preparing for IVF, a miracle happened.... I found out I was pregnant!! Talk about a complete shock! I was in disbelief at the home pregnancy test. But it is so true what they say.... everything happens in HIS timing, and when you "sort of " stop trying.

So in March 2014, our miracle son was born!! Mason Dale has made us parents. Fast forward to January 2017 and little brother Easton Allen was born!! The second time trying to get pregnant didn't take as long. About a year to be exact. So we are blessed with two sons, who are now 4 and 2. And I am lucky enough to have the dream jobs of stay at home mom and lifestyle photographer!

I have always, always had a passion for photography. Every where I went, I would take at least 100 pictures, lol. And if you see a field of weeds, I see it as a photo shoot opportunity. I took basic Photography and Editing classes through Central Carolina Community College. I love to capture everything. Photography makes my soul happy!
